The art of Meenakshi Srinivasan traverses the two Universes of pristine tradition and modernity. On one hand she is an artist trained by Padmashree Alarmel Valli, the foremost exponent of the Pandanallur tradition in Bharatnatyam on the other she has worked with various exponents of modern dance in developing original techniques involving the expression of primal emotions through stylized body movements of great intensity.

The other face of Meenakshi reveals her practices another art form, 'Architecture'. Meenakshi is currently a practicing architect with SCDA Architects, Singapore. She also has an enviable portfolio of work, a result of her association with Mistry Architects in Bangalore, India.
Reflecting both aspects of her personality Meenakshi seeks to strike a proportionate balance between her traditional training, modern aesthetics and keen interest in architecture.
